We are intentionally somewhat vague about the details of our gateway fraud prevention for obvious security reasons. Any prospective merchant after completing our short pre application can contact us for details on any aspect of our fraud prevention in relation to your payment services.

Some of our standard fraud prevention features are listed below

 

Fraud Screening Controls:

  • Credit card blacklist
  • Email address
  • IP address
  • Dot extension screening,
  • AVS
  • Delivery Address Verification
  • CVV2 data, and risk management controls such as credit card hacking attempts by hour, day, month and location.

Secure Data Management:
All Data is hosted in a secure, 24-hour, high-capacity data center

Optional Payer Authentication (Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode)
Guarantee payment from international customers using payer authentication services from Visa and MasterCard. Service authenticates cardholder identity and protects you from fraud and payment risk if identity is validated.

Charge-Back Management
Chargebacks are definitely the Achilles' heel of e-commerce.
You do all the things you should to ensure your transaction is error free. The product is purchased through your processors fraud prevention, you ship your product via the terms on your selling page and 30 to 90 days later, you see a chargeback in your transaction history.

Most processors will not take the time involved to properly dispute the chargeback attempt so that these consumer fraudsters can be exposed and you can get your money back as you should have had it in the first place.

BankMid however, does not fall into this category of most processors.
Our acquirers fight viciously on any chargeback attempt made and are successful more of the time than not in recovering your money.
In the event your account is faced with a situation such as this, we will require the following documentation in order to ensure a successful outcome.
1) Proof of Delivery of the purchased products, in the form of, Delivery Receipt or Courier Receipt, along with any e-mail communication that you may have had with the Customer in regard to this transaction.

We then forward this information to our Acquiring Bank and they in turn, will contact the Cardholder's Bank to show proof of delivery which 80% of the time is all that's needed to support the merchant?s position.
Once the Cardholder's Bank accepts the Proof and confirms the validity of the transaction, the chargeback amount will be REFUNDED to you within 60-90 days of the initial chargeback. This is the standard processing time frame the cardholder bank has to abide by to be within both VISA and Master Credit Card rules.

Requires fraud prevention software to be dynamic enough to automatically add and change parameters to keep up with new fraud trends as they emerge and evolve.
